Once the skill hits 90, for Destruction I usually just do: Go back to wherever and spam Harmony again, etc. Paralyze her, then pickpocket your gold back for free (while she is paralysed, just go sneak mode and hammer the A button until her inventory comes up) and no repercussions Level up, in front of her (or whichever trainer you're using) It takes between 6-8 casts to go from 15-100 Illusion.īefore you level up, make sure you go to a trainer for the slow-leveling skill of your choice (say, Faralda for Destruction) Spam Harmony (master level Illusion spell, Illusion itself can be ramped to level 100 pretty quickly by just casting Muffle when you're out and about) in a crowded area during daylight hours (think central Whiterun, by the tree). I just dual cast fire runes on varkas for 30 minutes straight (100 cost reduction), and my destruction magic went from 28 to 33. The only thing that doesn't add up in legendary difficulty is destruction magic.
Get Illusion reduction set to reduce casting costs to 0 Swinging a pair of 280 damage swords will kill even a level 50 ancient dragon on legendary difficulty in 20 seconds or less. What I do for quick leveling of slow skills is this:
